The Volunteer Bureau of Montreal (VBM) values volunteer engagement by raising awareness of its importance for society and by recognizing those who give their time.
It brings together a wide network by fostering inclusion, creating connections between volunteers and organizations, and offering spaces for dialogue and collective reflection.
VBM supports organizations through peer exchange among managers, tools, training, and guidance, while also accompanying volunteers throughout their engagement journey.

The VBM supports both volunteers and organizations, regardless of the type of engagement: individual or collective, personal or supported by an employer or organization. This engagement may be regular, specialized (skills-based), governance-related, or business-oriented.
The VBM stands out for its tailored support approach that fosters meaningful matches and recognizes the value of all forms of engagement.

"This summer, I volunteered at the Festival international Nuits d’Afrique. I welcomed the artists and was in the dressing rooms with them to help out if anything was needed. I also started volunteering at Résolidaire, an organization in Hochelaga. I run the bingo for seniors. A friend of mine is also a volunteer there."
"I've been a volunteer receptionist for over six months. Since I live in Chicoutimi, I volunteer remotely. My role is to handle email requests and phone calls. I direct people who need help to the Center's services."
"I currently work as a placement advisor for aspiring volunteers. My role involves assessing the skills, interests, and aspirations of potential volunteers with a view to directing them to suitable volunteer opportunities. I also conduct regular follow-ups to assess volunteer satisfaction, gather feedback, and adjust my advice accordingly.."
