The Volunteer Bureau of Montreal team includes both permanent staff and dedicated volunteers, all united by a passion for promoting and advancing volunteer action. Together, we work to strengthen community engagement and support nonprofit organizations in fulfilling their missions.

Geneviève Fecteau

Executive Director

As Executive Director of CABM, Geneviève draws on extensive experience mainly from the community sector and the field of mental health, as well as in governance, content creation, translation, and the start-up, management, and evaluation of projects and organizations. A graduate of the School of Industrial Relations at the Université de Montréal, she continues to expand her knowledge through various trainings and seminars. Driven by her courage, dynamism, and creative spirit, she engages the team, the board, and volunteers through a collaborative, results-oriented management style. Placing human relationships at the heart of her professional and personal life, Geneviève dreams of a more just and inclusive world where everyone has access to well-being.

Sev Rovera

Community Relations Advisor

Sev plays a strategic role in building and strengthening partnerships within the VBM’s network and broader community.
Passionate about social justice and inclusion, Sev advocates for accessible volunteerism across Montreal's diverse communities.

Daynah Savage

Administrative Coordinator

With over 25 years of experience in administrative management and customer service, Daynah brings unparalleled organizational skills and professionalism to the VBM.
Perfectly bilingual (French and English) with basic Spanish, she is passionate about helping nonprofits grow and succeed.

Yousra André

Volunteer Services coordinator (Currently replaced by Ben Finkelberg)

Yousra grew up between France and Morocco, studying law and feminism in Lyon and Montreal. Through her intercultural background, it is human connections and collective relationships that have always fascinated her.

She has had the opportunity to coordinate programs and volunteers in a variety of contexts—community work, public health, and grassroots initiatives.

Joining the CABM team to help promote volunteerism and thus contribute to building a more cohesive, locally organized society in Montreal gives her great pleasure.

Ben Finkelberg

Interim Volunteer Services Coordinator

Ben has been working in the community sector for over 15 years, following a return to school to study Social Work in 2008. He has been a lifelong volunteer and has a total of ten years' professional experience managing volunteer programs at different organizations. He has worked in a helping capacity with a diverse clientele, including immigrants and refugees, seniors, people with vision loss, and individuals in crisis. Ben is happy to continue his journey in community work at CABM, where he supports organizations and volunteers in their work.

Stéphanie Lécole

Manager of Business Volunteering, Skills-Based Volunteering, and Governance

Stéphanie has been working for over fifteen years in the fields of civic engagement, inclusive governance, and organizational capacity building. At the Montreal Volunteer Bureau, she supports organizations and individuals in their engagement efforts, notably through skills-based volunteering and business volunteering.

Holding a master’s degree in the sociology of work and organizations, she has led various projects aimed at promoting civic participation and fostering greater diversity within decision-making bodies. Convinced that collective engagement is a driver of social transformation, she is committed to building bridges between talents, organizations, and causes.

Élizabeth Tremblay

Communications Manager

Élizabeth holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a specialization in Public Relations and brings over 20 years of experience in event-based, institutional, and corporate environments. She began her career with the City of Montreal, where she contributed to communications for major public events, before continuing her career in the engineering, tourism, and community development sectors.
In her current role, she leverages her strategic, organizational, and writing skills to support the CABM’s mission and foster social engagement. Guided by values of kindness and collaboration, Élizabeth aims to contribute to an engaging and empowering environment, and to meaningful initiatives.
