Context of the mandate

About CITIM

CITIM (Clef pour l’intégration au travail des immigrant.e.s) is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 and located in the heart of Montreal. It provides newcomers to Quebec with reception, guidance, and social and professional integration services, placing recognition of the diverse backgrounds, cultures, and aspirations of its participants at the core of its work.

Through a multicultural team and tailored services—including information, orientation, support, training, and labour-market preparation—CITIM serves as a bridge between immigrant talent and local employers. In doing so, it helps build a more inclusive, equitable society that reflects its diversity.

Tasks

We currently have one position to fill on our Board of Directors.

Composed of nine members from diverse professional backgrounds—including engineering, ethics, governance, human resources, communications, and information technology—our Board works closely with the Executive Director to ensure sound governance, adopt strategic directions, and approve the annual action plan and budget.

Desired qualifications

We are seeking committed, diligent, and strategic individuals who identify with CITIM’s mission and wish to contribute to a collective initiative with meaningful impact. You may be a strong fit if you have the following profile:

Information Technology (IT) expertise

• You bring a strategic perspective on digital transformation, cybersecurity, or data governance
• You would like to support CITIM as it evolves its digital practices, helping the organization automate its processes and structure its use of artificial intelligence

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

• Collaborative leadership
• Critical and strategic thinking
• A strong sense of ethics and responsibility
• The ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team
• A willingness to take an active role in the organization’s mission

Expected level of involvement

• Term length: 2 years (renewable)
• Start of term: October, following the election at the Annual General Meeting to be held on September 30, 2026
• Insurance: Liability coverage is provided to all Board members

Board members meet approximately 8 to 10 times per year, in the evening, and participate in various working committees. The estimated annual time commitment is 25 to 30 hours.
