Join the Board of Directors of Quartier Jeunesse 2026-2028

For more than 25 years, Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Montréal Centre-Ville (CJE MCV) has supported young people in downtown Montréal in their personal, professional, creative and civic journeys. Through its services and public identity, Quartier Jeunesse, the organization fosters employability, civic engagement, cultural entrepreneurship and youth empowerment.

For the 2026-2028 mandate, the Board of Directors is seeking to fill two strategic positions to strengthen the range of expertise, experience and perspectives within its governance. Applications will be reviewed by a Nomination Committee based on the organization’s needs and the desired representation on the Board.

Mandate: 2 years, from September 2026 to September 2028, renewable

Estimated time commitment: approximately 5 hours per month, including 5 to 6 Board meetings per year, one Annual General Meeting and participation in the work of at least one standing committee.

Profile 
The Board is looking for two individuals with strong governance experience who can actively contribute to the development, visibility and strategic positioning of Quartier Jeunesse. Relevant profiles may include public or government affairs, business development, social impact, law or organizational governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of governance experience, including experience on a board of directors, strategic committee or decision-making body;
• Ability to contribute to the Board’s strategic discussions;
• Strong professional network, particularly with employers, institutions or partners in downtown Montreal;
• Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Public relations, government affairs or institutional representation,
  • Business development, employer networks or socioeconomic impact initiatives,
  • Legal expertise or experience in law.

Assets

• Experience as a Chair, Vice-Chair or member of an executive committee;
• Governance training or a relevant certification;
• Ability to support leadership succession and strengthen Board leadership;
• Good knowledge of Montréal’s ecosystem, particularly downtown Montreal;
• Sensitivity to issues related to youth, employability, civic engagement, culture or entrepreneurship.

Applications will be reviewed by the Board’s Nomination Committee. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a brief interview. The committee will make its recommendations in preparation for the Annual General Meeting to be held on September 16, 2026. All applicants will be informed of the decision by email.
