Make a difference… one smile at a time!

Do you want to give your summer meaning? Do you want to share precious moments with others and contribute to the well-being of seniors and adults with reduced autonomy? Join our team and take part in tailored, stimulating, and heartwarming summer recreational activities at long-term care facilities.

We’re currently looking for volunteers to assist our residents during minibus outings.

Main duties:

• Assist with transportation
• Help supervise
• Socialize
• Push wheelchairs
• Help with cleanup and safety

Other activities may be available depending on the center.

As a volunteer, you may, for example, accompany residents during various recreational activities, including:
- Outdoor activities (walks, gardening, relaxing in the sun)
- Creative and artistic activities
- Group or small-group games
- Opportunities for conversation and meaningful companionship

Your presence helps break down isolation, stimulate abilities, and enrich the daily lives of participants.

Desired Profile:  

• Responsible, polite, cheerful, and patient individuals with a strong sense of initiative, good listening skills, and effective communication abilities
• Individuals who are sensitive to the realities faced by seniors and people with reduced independence
• Individuals who are comfortable in a care setting and a residential environment
• People eager to get involved on an occasional or regular basis during the summer

Desirable skills:

• Ability to connect with others and communicate with empathy
• Interest in cultural, creative, or recreational activities
• Ability to adapt to participants’ needs and pace
• Team spirit and willingness to collaborate with existing staff
• Sense of responsibility and discretion

•    August 21 — Biking 
•    August 25 — OKA 
•    September 1 — Movie 
•    September 3 — Apple picking
•    September 17 — Apple picking

Commitment Duration
Summer season, with the option to continue if desired
