The Volunteer Bureau of Montreal and Accès-Bénévolat are organizing the Montreal Volunteer Meetups at the Grande Bibliothèque (BAnQ) on Sunday, April 19, 2026, as part of Volunteer Week. The goal of this event, which is open to the general public, is to promote volunteerism in Montreal and facilitate connections between people who want to get involved and community organizations in need of volunteer support. There will be booths run by some 30 organizations and mini-conferences. We are looking for volunteers with interpreting skills to provide live oral translation from English to French or from French to English during our talks. We are also looking for someone who knows sign language (LSQ). We will have two 45-minute mini-conferences, with a 30-minute break in between. You may sign up to interpret for just one presentation as we know this is a demanding role*. Possible times: *We are prioritizing finding volunteers for our first talk on inclusive volunteering.
