Description of the organization: non-profit community family organization.

Première Ressource, aide aux parents offers Quebec families free, confidential consultations in French or English, with no time limit. Through its service, the psychosocial intervention team answers parents' questions about everything related to raising children aged 0 to 18 and parent-child relationships. The service is available by phone, email, and chat for all families in Quebec. Whether it's a day-to-day question or a major issue, the psychosocial workers use all their expertise to support parents in their search for solutions. Consultations are unlimited in time, and personalized follow-up can be offered as needed.

By joining the Board of Directors of Première Ressource, aide aux parents, you commit to:

• Supporting our purpose and mission by putting all our psychosocial expertise at the service of parents and those who care for families, in the best interests of children.
• Contributing to the development of the organization and its services to families throughout Quebec.
• Collaborating with a team of experienced, dynamic, and open-minded administrators.

Roles and responsibilities of the board of directors

• Embody and promote the organization's values.
• Implement the strategic plan: vision, mission, strategy, and objectives.
• Appoint senior management, oversee their training and compensation, and ensure accountability.
• Approve senior management's action plan in line with the strategic plan.
• Ensure responsible management of resources and oversee the organization's financial performance.
• Actively participate in fundraising campaigns, based on expertise.
• Ensure the smooth functioning of the board and the continuous improvement of its governance practices.

Qualities of a good administrator: availability, leadership, team spirit, networking skills.

Desired profiles: expertise in fundraising, marketing, or governance of non-profit organizations.

Term of office: 2 years. Renewable.

Commitment: 8 board meetings, 1 general meeting. In the evening. Be a member of one of our committees.

Meeting locations: by videoconference or in person in Montreal.

Application deadline: ongoing until the position is filled.
