Nov 05, 2026
From 2 PM to 4 PM
Because the challenges of coordinating volunteers are easier to tackle when you can talk about them with people who understand them.
To mark International Volunteer Managers Day, on November 5, 2026, the VBM invites you to a peer-to-peer exchange where you can take the time to get to know one another, share your experiences, and exchange ideas with others who bring volunteerism to life every day.
Why get together?
Recruitment, retention, engagement, recognition, and sometimes tricky situations… what challenges are you facing right now? Come discuss them with colleagues from the Montreal community, share your successes, ask questions, and leave with new ideas.
What to expect?
No lectures, no PowerPoint presentations: just an afternoon (see my note below) to chat, listen to one another, and learn from each other. Seated around small tables, a few questions to draw from a pool will spark conversations as the mood strikes, all in a friendly atmosphere with treats and comforting drinks.
Whether you’ve been a volunteer coordinator for a long time or are new to the role, you’re welcome!
Practical Information:
Participation is free, but registration is required and space is limited.
This activity is reserved for CABM members.
This is a bilingual event. Discussions may be conducted in French or English.
Accessibility: Our offices are wheelchair accessible via the rear entrance of the building. Since this entrance does not have an intercom, please call us when you arrive so we can let you in. Our offices are located on the 4th floor and are accessible by elevator.
We look forward to seeing you there!
