Role overview  

Being a Healthpartners spokesperson for The Arthritis Society of Canada is a unique opportunity to share your experience with arthritis and raise awareness of the daily challenges associated with this disease. 

We’re looking for committed volunteers with strong communication skills to help spread the word that arthritis isn’t a banal disease!  As a spokesperson, you will participate in presentations to companies, organizations and government institutions, in collaboration with PartenaireSanté.

Tasks

• Share personal experiences and explain the impact of arthritis on daily life.

• Raise awareness of the realities of arthritis and the challenges it presents.

• Participate in presentations to businesses, organizations, and government institutions in collaboration with HealthPartners.

• Answer participants’ questions and promote a better understanding of arthritis.

• Represent the Arthritis Society of Canada authentically and professionally.

• Prepare for presentations by completing training and using the resources provided.

• Respond promptly to presentation invitations and confirm availability.

Desired qualifications

• Having lived experience with arthritis and a willingness to share personal experiences.

• Being comfortable speaking in public and communicating clearly and engagingly.

• Having an interest in arthritis awareness and education.

• Demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and flexibility.

• Being 18 years of age or older.

• Being available on weekdays and able to respond promptly to presentation invitations.

• Having access to a computer and a reliable internet connection for virtual presentations.

Expected level of involvement

• Flexible commitment based on requests received, with presentations lasting 10–30 minutes as needed, primarily on weekdays.
• Presentations can be in-person in the province of Quebec or virtual.
• Prompt responses to invitations and preparation for presentations are required.
• Training and coaching are available to help you prepare for your presentations
