Context of the mandate
Mission and Values The Outils de Paix Network works collaboratively to promote cooperation, creativity and innovation. It shares knowledge and resources related to violence prevention and the development of peaceful conflict resolution skills, with the goal of supporting citizen-led initiatives for peace. Why Volunteer with Outils de Paix? Outils de Paix is seeking to strengthen its capacity to fund and promote its projects. The volunteer will work collaboratively with the coordination team and, depending on the project, with other volunteers, members and partners. They will contribute to a variety of topics related to communications, social media and fundraising. Their contribution will support fundraising efforts, increase the visibility of initiatives and contribute to the Network’s development.

Desired qualifications
A reliable, organized, curious and collaborative person who can work independently between meetings. Strong French writing skills and comfort with shared work tools are expected. Interest in nonprofit fundraising, communications, social media, peace, non-violence, inclusion and the community sector is important. Experience in fundraising, communications or administration is an asset. Knowledge of Canva, social media, Excel or Google Sheets is also an asset, but is not required.
Expected level of involvement
At least 6 hours per week, with a commitment of 6 months or more. The role is carried out primarily remotely, with occasional in-person attendance at the Ville-Marie office as needed. The volunteer must be available every Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the weekly coordination meeting and collaborative follow-up. Background check if required.
