Context of the mandate

We are looking for a volunteer to support our team at the food assistance counter on Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during the months of November, December, and January.

Tasks

• Moving and transporting boxes (varying weights);
• Placing, organizing, and sorting food items, or portioning snacks for families, in accordance with food safety standards and best practices;
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

When food assistance support is not required, the volunteer may be asked to assist with other tasks based on current needs, such as sorting clothing donations or helping with administrative duties.

Desired qualifications

We are seeking someone who is reliable, flexible, independent, and proactive, and who enjoys contributing to a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment.

The candidate should be comfortable handling boxes and able to follow food safety and sanitation protocols. Training can be provided during the first trial session.

Expected level of involvement

2 hours per week on Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during the months of November, December, and January.
