Context of the mandate

We are looking for volunteers interested in supporting ’’Little Sunshine’’, a dep located in our residence. 

Tasks

• Selling and handling coffee and other items
• Handling transations and managing the cash register
• Keeping the dep clean and organized
• Welcoming residents with a smile and providing friendly service.
• Assisting residents with selecting items from the available products.
• Helping create a pleasant atmosphere where residents feel comfortable stopping by.

Desired qualifications

• Friendly, patient, respectful, and reliable.
• Enjoys interacting with older adults and taking the time to listen.
• Comfortable greeting residents and engaging in casual conversation.
• Organized and able to work independently.
• No previous experience required; a positive and caring attitude is what matters most.

Expected level of involvement

Schedule : During the week and/or weekend, flexible schedule (AM/PM/evening)

We are looking for a volunteer who can offer regular support, depending on their availability and the needs of the coffee shop. Scheduling will be arranged in collaboration with the person responsible for recreational services (usually 10:00am - 1:30pm).

Consistent availability is appreciated to help provide residents with a dependable service and build warm, familiar relationships.
