Context of the mandate

For over 60 years, Les Petits Frères (Little Brothers) has been supporting elders experiencing loneliness and social isolation. Thanks to the dedication of its volunteers, the organization fosters meaningful and lasting human connections, ensuring that every older adult can age with dignity, respect, and companionship.

We are looking for a volunteer who would like to participate in a long-term mentoring relationship with a senior living in the Saint-Laurent area of Montreal.

Tasks

Providing regular, compassionate companionship through visits and phone calls to build a lasting relationship based on trust and helping reduce social isolation for an elder.

Desired qualifications

- Empathetic, attentive, and reliable.
- Interested in providing companionship and support to elders.
- Available for a long-term commitment.

Expected level of involvement

Ideally, the volunteer would be available at least four times per month to connect with the elder, alternating between in-person visits and phone calls.
