Context of the mandate

Saint Columba House is looking for friendly and welcoming volunteers to help with our Community Lunch!

When: Monday to Friday
Time: 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Where: Saint Columba House, Montréal

Tasks

• Welcome participants and guests in a friendly and respectful manner

• Distribute and collect lunch tickets

• Track the number of meals served

• Collect the $2 lunch payment when applicable

• Complete a simple end-of-day summary of the day’s revenue

• Help create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere

• Answer simple questions and direct participants to the appropriate staff member when needed

Desired qualifications

Our ideal volunteer is someone who:

• Enjoys meeting and interacting with people

• Is friendly, welcoming, and respectful

• Is comfortable speaking with people from different backgrounds

• Wants to help create a positive and inclusive community environment

Expected level of involvement

Minimum commitment of 2 months, with at least one volunteer shift per week.
