We are looking for volunteers who want to work with children to support our existing staff. Depending on their availability and interests, volunteers can help out at the weekend respite care program with children ages 2 to 12 or at La Rosée Daycare during the week with toddlers. Their presence provides additional support to the team while helping to create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for the children.

Desired qualifications
We are looking for people who enjoy spending time with children and who want to make a tangible contribution to their well-being. The volunteer must demonstrate kindness, patience, energy, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility. The ability to connect with children and work collaboratively with a team is also desired. Completed or ongoing training in a field related to children, education, or psychosocial intervention is a plus. Relevant experience working with children will also be considered. Since this position involves direct contact with children, La Petite Maison de la Miséricorde will conduct a background check to ensure there are no legal impediments before the volunteer begins their service.
Expected level of involvement
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to provide a regular and stable presence for the children Depending on their availability, volunteers can serve during the week at La Rosée Daycare or on weekends as part of our respite care program. In order to foster a relationship of trust and provide children with stable points of reference, we would like volunteers to commit to working on a regular basis for a specific period of time. The continuity of their presence is important, especially for the youngest children. The days and time slots for volunteering can be determined based on the volunteer’s availability and the organization’s needs.
