Context of the mandate

The mission of the Sault-Saint-Louis Hospice is to provide free palliative care and services to people at the end of life, regardless of their background or beliefs, so that they may spend their final moments peacefully, with respect and dignity, surrounded by the love of their loved ones. All living spaces, including the eight (8) private rooms, have been thoughtfully designed to provide a warm, “home-like” environment that is welcoming and dedicated to the well-being of patients at the end of life, their loved ones, and the care teams and volunteers.

Tasks

Provide hairdressing services to end-of-life patients residing at the Sault-Saint-Louis Hospice. 

Desired qualifications

General Qualifications and Skills:  

• Completed training in hairdressing; 

• Comfortable working with vulnerable individuals;  

• Ability to adapt to change and versatility; 

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team; 

• Discretion, respect, and tact;  

• Strict adherence to confidentiality;  

• Professionalism, thoroughness, and punctuality; 

• Fluency in French; knowledge of English is a plus.  

Expected level of involvement

General Information :  

• 1 to 2 half-days per month,

• Home for 8 residents.
