Make a difference: become a volunteer at Baobab Familial, Family House of Côte-des-Neiges

We are a family center at the heart of Côte-des-Neiges:

• A welcoming place to live, connect, and share

• A space that fosters mutual support, exchange, and belonging

• A warm and dedicated team, guided by respect, active listening, and collaboration

Volunteering at Baobab Familial is more than just an engagement. It’s about sharing unique moments, meeting wonderful people, and contributing directly to the well-being of families in your neighborhood.

BaoAdos (High School) - Encourage young people to persevere and develop their academic independence. 

Tasks

• Support young people as they complete their homework. Guide them through their homework, encourage their independence, and recognize their efforts.

• Participate in discussions and social activities. Once homework is finished, take part in conversations, board games, and leisure activities that strengthen bonds within the group.

• Support the team in co-facilitating workshops and activities. Help program leaders supervise activities, encourage youth participation, and contribute to a positive atmosphere.Training and a welcome guide will be provided.

Desired qualifications

• A patient, respectful person who is open to diversity

• An interest in working with young people

• A desire to contribute to a warm and welcoming community

• Fluency in French is required

Expected level of involvement

• Tuesday or Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (choose one day)

• From September to June

• Minimum commitment: 3 months
