Context of the mandate
Photographer needed for the 3rd Montreal East Sustainable Food Summit! Do you have a knack for capturing great moments and want to support our community's local food transition? We are looking for a volunteer photographer to document this impactful event! Date: Thursday, November 12, 2026 Location: Centre Saint-Pierre (1212 Panet St, Montreal) Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Your Role: Capture the overall atmosphere, key moments during panels, interactive workshops, and discussions throughout the day. Deliver a curated selection of high-resolution photos after the event (for social media, reports, and future communications). What We Offer: Complimentary lunch and refreshments provided on site. Full access to all panels and workshops at the Summit. Photo credit on all of our publications. A great chance to build your portfolio while supporting a high-impact social and environmental project in Montreal East. Requirements: Your own digital camera equipment.
Tasks
On-Site Photography (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) Panels and discussions: Capture speakers in action, audience Q&A/interactions, and stage dynamics. Interactive workshops: Document group work, discussions, note-taking, and active attendee participation. Atmosphere and networking: Take candid shots during welcome registration, coffee breaks, and lunch (handshakes, informal conversations, smiles).
Desired qualifications
Amateur, enthusiast, or professional — no professional background required, we welcome passionate photo lovers! Someone who enjoys capturing people, genuine interactions, and candid moments. Whether you’re passionate about photography, a beginner, an amateur, or a professional—it’s your eye for the shot and your enthusiasm that count! You’re comfortable moving around discreetly during activities to capture candid shots.
Expected level of involvement
Full-day presence expected (from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) to cover the entire program (registration, panels, lunch, workshops, and closing).
