Context of the mandate
Angle Psy is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote mental health and prevent sexual violence among young people aged 16 to 30 through art. As the organization continues to grow, we are looking to strengthen our financial governance and develop more structured financial management and monitoring practices.
Tasks
Participate in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget; Monitor revenues, expenses, and cash flow; Review financial transactions and supporting documents; Prepare financial tracking tools and reports for the Board of Directors; Contribute to implementing sound financial practices and internal controls; Monitor the organization’s financial and administrative obligations; Support the preparation of documents for grant applications and other funding opportunities; Provide financial guidance to the team and Board of Directors within their area of expertise.
Desired qualifications
Education or experience in accounting, finance, financial management, or a related field; Relevant experience in financial management, ideally within a non-profit organization; Good understanding of budgeting, cash flow, and financial monitoring; Proficiency in Excel or financial tracking tools; Strong integrity, sound judgment, attention to detail, and respect for confidentiality; Ability to communicate and explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders; Independent, reliable, and comfortable taking responsibility; Interest in governance and the non-profit sector. Experience as a Treasurer, Board member, or finance lead within a non-profit organization is a strong asset.
Expected level of involvement
Medium- to long-term volunteer commitment; Approximately 3 to 5 hours per week, with additional involvement during budget preparation or specific financial projects; Participation in Board or financial meetings, depending on the agreed-upon role; Meetings primarily held virtually, with the possibility of hybrid meetings as needed.
