Context of the mandate

DO YOU LOVE CULTURAL EVENTS? CLASSICAL MUSIC? OPERA? DO YOU ENJOY MEETING NEW PEOPLE? EXPLORING THE CITY? WOULD YOU LIKE TO SUPPORT YOUNG TALENT?

If you answered YES to one or more of these questions, we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

In less than a month, on October 24, the 32nd Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques Benefit Gala, presented by Théâtre Lyrichorégra 20, will showcase the next generation of opera talent during an afternoon filled with music.

Twenty-six opera artists from seven countries will perform some of the most beautiful opera ensembles as part of this event, which aims to support and promote emerging talent on the opera scene.

To help make the event a success and reach as many audience members as possible, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help promote the Gala at various locations throughout the city over the coming weeks.

Tasks

Your main mission will be to help promote the Gala and raise awareness of the event among the public:

• Distribute promotional flyers and leaflets at selected locations;
• Put up posters in high-traffic and relevant locations;
• Engage with the public outside conservatories, performance venues and cultural spaces, particularly in connection with selected concerts and performances;
• Invite passersby and music lovers to discover the event and reserve their tickets;
• Through your enthusiasm and presence in the community, help promote the Gala and shine a spotlight on the young artists taking part.

Desired qualifications

We are looking for people who:

• Are passionate about the arts, culture, classical music or opera;
• Enjoy meeting new people and engaging with the public;
• Are friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic;
• Feel comfortable approaching people and briefly introducing them to an event;
• Care about supporting the next generation of artists and are eager to encourage young talent.

No specific experience is required — your enthusiasm and willingness to contribute are what matter most!

Expected level of involvement

The level of involvement is flexible and can be adapted to your availability.

We are looking for volunteers who are available starting the weekend of Sept 26-27 and throughout the next four weeks, for a few hours or several time slots, depending on their availability.

You can choose when you would like to get involved and which areas of the city you are available to cover. Whether you can lend a hand just once or participate in several promotional activities, every contribution makes a difference!
