Context of the mandate

Institut F is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to contribute to the well-being of Muslim women and families in Quebec. Through its various programs, Institut F creates spaces for learning, exchange, and reflection that enable women to develop their leadership skills, provide families with tools to foster harmonious family relationships, and contribute to a better understanding of the realities faced by Muslim women and to building stronger ties with the organizations that support them.

As part of its activities and events, volunteers help ensure the smooth running of Institut F’s initiatives by providing logistical support to the team and assisting with welcoming participants.

Tasks

Depending on the needs of the activities, volunteers may be asked to:

• Prepare and set up the rooms before the activities,
• Set up tables, chairs, and the necessary equipment,
• Welcome and guide participants,
• Ensure the schedule is followed and assist with time management,
• Provide logistical support during activities,
• Help tidy up and pack away equipment at the end of activities.

Desired qualifications

No prior volunteer experience is required. We are looking for caring, empathetic, respectful, organized, reliable, and committed individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and want to help ensure our activities run smoothly.

Expected level of involvement

We are looking for volunteers who are available to help out occasionally or on a regular basis at our workshops and events during the 2026–2027 year. Activities will take place mainly on weekends, though some may be held on Friday evenings. Schedules will be determined based on the needs of the activities and the availability of each volunteer.
