Context of the mandate
L’Hirondelle is calling for contributions from all individuals of Quebec origin or those who have been living in Quebec for over ten years! We are looking for people ready to experience intercultural pairing. By participating, you will help newcomers discover Quebec society, build their network, and integrate more easily while learning about new cultures. Share simple moments like a walk, a coffee, or a cultural outing. What is the intercultural matching program? The intercultural matching program connects individuals or families with an immigrant background with host vounteers (people born in Quebec or who have lived there for at least 10 years). Through friendship and mutual exchange, participants learn about each other's cultures and life experiences while supporting the integration of newcomers into Quebec society in a warm and welcoming environment. For newcomers : essential support to better adapt and thrive. Flexible commitment: adapt your participation to your schedule! How to become a volunteer? 1 - Attend a 30 to 45-minute meeting with the volunteer coordinator (online or in person). 2 - Get introduced to your match. Join us to live a rewarding human experience and contribute to building a more open and tolerant society!
For you as a host volunteer: an opportunity to discover new cultures, build strong connections, and contribute to a more inclusive society.

Expected level of involvement
Be available and commit to participating in at least two outings or activities per month with their newcomer match for six months minimum.
