Context of the mandate

CISIM-MTL is seeking a volunteer to support the planning, organization, and delivery of activities and events for immigrants, newcomers, and the wider Montreal community.

Tasks

• Assist with planning activities and events;
• Suggest activities adapted to participants’ needs;
• Help coordinate schedules, venues, materials, and logistics;
• Collaborate with volunteers, partners, and staff;
• Support event promotion and participant outreach;
• Help ensure the smooth running of activities and events;
• Welcome and guide participants;
• Collect feedback and contribute to activity evaluations.

Desired qualifications

• Strong organizational and planning skills;
• Dynamic, creative, and self-motivated;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
• Experience in event planning is an asset;
• Good command of French; proficiency in English is an asset;
• Welcoming attitude and interest in the community sector;
• Sensitivity to intercultural diversity and immigrant integration.

Expected level of involvement

Flexible and occasional commitment, depending on CISIM-MTL’s activity and event schedule. A few hours per month, with increased availability during event preparation and delivery.
