Context of the mandate

Le Groupe l'Entre-Gens is an organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for seniors in Petite-Patrie by helping them remain in their own homes.

We are looking for a volunteer with a car to join our team of drivers for the meal delivery service on Thursday mornings to support seniors in Petite-Patrie by delivering meals as part of a team with the delivery volunteer.

 

Tasks

As a volunteer driver, you will be responsible for:

• Meet the delivery person at the Groupe L'entre-Gens office around 9:45 a.m.
• Drive your vehicle to each of the addresses where meals are to be delivered.
• Bring the delivery person back to the Groupe L'Entre-Gens office once the delivery route is complete.

Desired qualifications

• Have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle;
• Be punctual, self-reliant, and organized;
• Have a good sense of direction and be comfortable getting around Montreal;
• Be courteous, respectful, and have a positive approach when interacting with seniors or vulnerable individuals;
• Be able to carry and handle boxes or bags of meals;
• Follow safety and confidentiality guidelines;
• Enjoy interacting with people and help create a positive experience for recipients.

Please note that we conduct criminal background checks.

Expected level of involvement

Thursday mornings from 9:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., minimum 3-month commitment
