Context of the mandate

Carrefour Parenfants is looking for a volunteer to lead running workshops for a group of children aged 5 to 11, introducing them to the sport and providing training.

The goal? To support young people in developing their running skills and to train them progressively, safely, and motivatingly towards completing a 5K race. Several children participated in this adventure last year and are ready to take on the challenge again!

Tasks

• Plan and lead training sessions;
• Teach the basics of running in a fun and age-appropriate way;
• Encourage young people to develop their confidence, perseverance, and enjoyment of physical activity;
• Ensure the safety of the group throughout the activities;
• Adapt activities to each child's level and pace.

Desired qualifications

• You are a runner or have a good knowledge of running;
• You enjoy working with children;
• You have strong leadership and teaching skills;
• You are an excellent motivator;
• You are dynamic, reliable, and committed to the safety of participants.

Expected level of involvement

At least until December 7, 2026.

It is also possible, and even encouraged, to continue the adventure with a second term: From January 14 to June 7, 2027.
