Become a Volunteer with Les Amis de l’Est pour la Déficience Intellectuelle!

Join our team of volunteers and help make our recreational activities even more special! We are looking for volunteers to support our activity leaders during our Saturday activities.

Tasks

Saturday Activities – Every Saturday

Schedule: 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Your Responsibilities:

• Welcome participants with a warm and friendly smile
• Manage attendance and participants’ personal belongings (coats, bags, etc.)
• Co-lead various recreational activities
• Prepare and set up the materials needed for activities
• Collaborate with activity leaders and other volunteers to ensure the smooth running of activities

Desired qualifications

We are looking for people who are:

• Comfortable participating in activities and engaging with a group
• Excited to encourage participants to take part in activities and create a fun, inclusive, and dynamic atmosphere
• Respectful, responsible, and attentive
• Passionate about the well-being of people living with an intellectual disability
• Eager to get involved and build meaningful connections
• With or without experience - all applicants are welcome!

A valid CPR certification, as well as experience working with people living with an intellectual disability or related experience, is preferred.

Expected level of involvement

Our Saturday activities take place every Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We are looking for people who are reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule in order to ensure a steady presence for our participants.

However, we are open to discussing the schedule based on each person’s availability and finding an arrangement that works for everyone.
