Context of the mandate

The CISIM-MTL is looking for a volunteer IT specialist to contribute to the development of its digital tools and support its team with its technological needs.
 

Tasks

Mandate entrusted

The volunteer IT specialist is mandated to support CISIM-MTL in the management, improvement and security of its IT and digital tools, in order to enable the organization to have a reliable, accessible technological environment adapted to its activities.

The person will work in collaboration with management and members of the working committee to identify needs, propose solutions and contribute to their implementation.

Your contribution:

• Support the management and improvement of the website;
• Help the team use digital tools;
• Contribute to data security and organization;
• Propose IT solutions adapted to the needs of the organization;
• Support digital projects and innovation.

Desired qualifications

CISIM-MTL is looking for an autonomous, reliable, proactive person who is passionate about technology and wishes to put their skills at the service of a social and intercultural mission.

Skills and qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• training or experience in IT, information technology, Web development or a related field;
• good knowledge of digital and computer tools;
• experience in managing, maintaining or administering websites;
• technical problem-solving skills;
• good knowledge of collaborative tools and digital communication;
• knowledge of cybersecurity, backup and data protection;
• the ability to assess needs and propose simple, effective solutions adapted to the resources of a nonprofit organization;
• an interest in new technologies and artificial intelligence is an asset;
• experience in the community or with a non-profit organization is a plus.

 

 

Expected level of involvement

The volunteer IT specialist commits to providing regular, structured, and proactive technical support to CISIM-MTL, based on the organization’s priorities and their availability.

Participation in committee meetings

Minimum commitment: 2 hours per month for committee meetings, with the possibility of up to five hours per week depending on the needs and projects.

The person will:

• participate in the monthly meetings of the working committee;
• review the topics to be addressed before meetings when necessary;
• provide an update on completed tasks;
• report any technical difficulties encountered;
• present recommendations and proposals;
• contribute to decisions concerning digital projects.
