Context of the mandate

Make a difference in the educational journey of young people in your community!

The Carrefour Parenfants is looking for a dynamic volunteer to support the young people in its new study room. Currently, three motivated young people are enrolled and need a helping hand to develop their skills, confidence, and academic independence.

Tasks

As a volunteer tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the academic success of young people of different ages and abilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Guiding a small group of three young people with their homework and lessons;
• Explaining challenging concepts and helping them develop effective learning strategies;
• Using creative and personalized approaches;
• Encouraging their perseverance and independence;
• Maintaining a positive and supportive environment that promotes concentration and learning.

Desired qualifications

You are the ideal candidate if you:

• Enjoy working with children and teenagers;
• Are comfortable with elementary and secondary school subjects;
• Have strong leadership skills;
• Are patient, creative, and a good listener;
• Are punctual, reliable, and committed.

Expected level of involvement

Every Monday, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., from September 21 to December 7, 2026

It is also possible, and even encouraged, to continue the adventure with a second term: From January 14 to June 7, 2027
