Context of the mandate

We are looking for a volunteer to lead an English class for adults of all levels. The goal is to promote language learning, oral and written practice, and the integration of participants in a friendly and respectful environment.

Tasks

• Prepare and lead English classes adapted to the different levels of the participants.
• Encourage language practice through simple exercises, discussions, varied activities, and homework assignments.
• Support each participant in their learning, according to their pace and needs.
• Create an atmosphere of listening, mutual support, and respect.
• Provide basic monitoring of the group's progress.

Desired qualifications

• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Teaching skills, patience, and good listening skills.
• Openness to cultural diversity and respect for differences.
• Reliability and punctuality.

Expected level of involvement

• Volunteer position.
• Frequency: depending on availability (1 to 2 times per week).
• Location: Action Centre-Ville.
