URGENT: Volunteer Group Needed to Complete Painting Project at the Women’s Centre of Montréal

Looking for a team of 6–8 volunteers | 2 day project | Flexible dates between September 2–18

The Women’s Centre of Montréal is looking for a group of 6–8 dedicated volunteers to help us complete an important painting and room-renovation project at our centre.

This project was originally started by a volunteer group but unfortunately could not be completed. We are now urgently looking for a new team to help us finish the work so that these rooms can be put back into use as soon as possible.

What the Project Involves

Volunteers will work together to complete the following:

• 1 rooms: Painting of walls and ceilings
• 1 room: Painting of the ceiling only
• Reinstalling light fixtures and other items that were temporarily removed from the walls
• Returning furniture and other items to their proper places
• Cleaning and organizing all painting materials and work areas once the project is complete

All paint and required materials have already been purchased and are ready to go. We simply need a committed team of helping hands to get the project finished!

Important Commitment

Because these rooms need to be ready for use by a specific date, it is essential that a minimum of 6 volunteers from the group be present on the agreed-upon project day(s) and that the work be completed within the scheduled timeframe.

We are looking for a group that can commit to one full day, with the possibility of a second day if needed, depending on the progress of the work.

The ability to work efficiently as a team and see the project through to completion is very important.

Flexible dates between September 2 and September 18

The Women’s Centre of Montréal is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We are happy to coordinate with your group to find a date that works within this timeframe.

Who We’re Looking For

We are specifically looking for corporate or community volunteer groups with previous experience in painting, renovation, maintenance, or similar hands-on projects.

Groups should be comfortable working efficiently as a team and have the experience and ability to complete the work within the scheduled timeframe.

This opportunity is particularly suited to:

• Skilled or experienced volunteer teams
