Do you want to make a meaningful difference while enjoying a rich and authentic human experience? Parrainage civique Montréal invites you to become a buddy to an adult living with an intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder. Our friendship pairing program helps adults living with an intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder meet new people, share activities, and build a lasting friendship with a volunteer whom we call a buddy. The goal is to promote inclusion and social participation by fostering friendships grounded in trust, respect, mutual support, and the joy of spending time together.
Tasks
Your role? Build a friendship and share good moments. Being a buddy simply means being present, sharing activities, discovering new things together, and above all enjoying the process of creating a meaningful connection. With the person you’re paired with, you’ll be able to: Together, you’ll choose activities that suit you both. What matters isn’t what you do, but the joy of being together and building a genuine relationship. The commitment required is one activity per month, on a long‑term basis.
