Context of the mandate

Saint Columba House is looking for volunteers to help with food preparation to support its community meal program in Pointe-Saint-Charles.

Volunteers will help chop vegetables and prepare hot meals, enabling the organization to serve up to 125 meals a day to community members. Your support is essential to ensuring quality service and promoting food security.

Schedule:
Weekdays, mornings
⏰ 9:00 AM – 12:30 AM

This is a great opportunity to give back, be part of a welcoming team, and support food security in the community.

 

Tasks

• Cut and prepare vegetables for daily meals
• Support the kitchen team with preparing hot meals for deliveries
• Keep your work area clean and tidy after completing tasks
• If interested, stay and help serve meals and welcome community members from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM
• Work as part of a team to ensure meals are prepared and ready on time

• Enjoy cooking and working in a kitchen environment
• Work well in team
• Reliable and punctual
• No professional cooking experience required

Expected level of involvement

2–3 days per week, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with a commitment of at least 1 month.
