Context of the mandate
Lasalle Saint-John Brébeuf Meals-on-Wheels is currently looking for volunteers to deliver hot meals to elderly persons in the Lasalle borough.
The Meals-on-Wheels is located at the Saint-John Brébeuf Church at 7777 George Street and deliveries are made on Thursday from 10:30 to 12:30 at the latest.
Tasks
As a delivery volunteer, you will be asked to :
• Show up at the Meals-on-Wheels organization to meet the volunteer driver and to carry the meals to the vehicle;
• Ring the doorbell of each client to give them their meals;
• Receive payments from each client for the meals;
• Return to the Meals-on-Wheels organization after the deliveries to hand over the clients’ payments.
Desired qualifications
We are looking for people who live in Lasalle or the surrounding area. No driver's license required.
Expected level of involvement
Commitment : At least once a month.
