Context of the mandate

Lasalle Saint-John Brebeuf Meals-on-Wheels is currently looking for cooks to prepare hot meals delivered to elderly persons in the Lasalle borough on Thursdays, from 7:30 am to 11:30.

Our meals-on-Wheels is located at the Saint-John Brébeuf Church at 7777 George Street.

Tasks

As a cook, you will team up with 2 kitchen helpers to perform the following tasks:

• Prepare soups, salads, and main courses;

• Pack meals for delivery (meals must be ready by 10:30 a.m., when the delivery teams come in);

• Clean the kitchen after meal preparation;

Desired qualifications

We are looking for people who live in Lasalle or the surrounding area and who are comfortable preparing about 20 meals. Our ideal candidates are punctual, reliable, and familiar with best practices for hygiene and food safety in the kitchen.

Expected level of involvement

Commitment: At least once a month.
