Tasks

• Monthly account reconciliation;
• Review of accounting entries and financial reports;
• Support in preparing annual financial statements;
• Advice on tax and regulatory compliance;
• Preparation and filing of tax returns for reimbursement;
• Collaboration with our team to optimize financial management.

Desired qualifications

• Canadian accounting experience (REQUIRED);
• CPA or CA designation (preferred, but not mandatory);
• Knowledge of non-profit accounting requirements in Canada;
• Rigorous, autonomous, and well-organized;
• Comfortable with collaborative work via Google Drive;
• Interest in the environment, urban agriculture, and the community sector (an asset).

Expected level of involvement

• Volunteer position (flexible schedule, approx. 2–3 hours/month);
• Remote work possible, with occasional meetings in Montreal;
• be available for 6 months to 1 year ideally.
