Context of the mandate
Le Créca – Centre de ressources éducatives et communautaires pour adultes is looking for volunteers to support the facilitator during workshops focused on using mobile phones. These workshops are intended for adults with limited or no literacy skills who may experience difficulties using their phones or various applications in their daily lives. The volunteer will help create a welcoming and supportive environment by assisting participants with their learning and helping them develop greater independence. The workshops take place from September to June, following a program established by the facilitator. To support learning, participants will have access to visual guides and a learning logbook, which will help them follow the activities, record important information, and keep useful references so they can practice and repeat what they have learned independently. The presence of volunteers will provide participants with personalized support, adapted to their individual pace and needs.

The volunteer’s main responsibility will be to support and assist learners in using their mobile phones in their daily lives, following a program and activities established by the facilitator. The main responsibilities include:
Desired qualifications
We are looking for a patient, caring, and confident individual who is comfortable using smartphones and who would like to share their knowledge and support adults in their learning. The volunteer should:
Expected level of involvement
The volunteer will be expected to commit 1 hour per week, on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Regular attendance is encouraged in order to provide consistent support and build a relationship of trust with the learners. The length of the commitment can be determined based on the volunteer’s availability. The workshops take place in person at Le Créca. The volunteer will work in collaboration with the facilitator and participate in the activities according to the established program.
