Context of the mandate

Want to put your creativity behind something real?

Under Pressure, Montréal's legendary grassroots graffiti and urban arts festival, is heading into its 32nd edition in 2027 — bringing together artists, music, urban culture and community.

We're looking for a creative, curious and reliable person to join our small, passionate volunteer team and help tell the Under Pressure story.

Tasks

• Coordinate the festival’s communications and content calendar;
• Create and publish engaging social media content;
• Highlight Under Pressure’s artists, activities, partners, and key moments;
• Support media relations and community outreach;
• Collaborate with the team on festival promotion and bring fresh ideas;
• Increase communications activity as the festival approaches.

Expected result: Help grow Under Pressure’s visibility, strengthen community engagement, and build excitement for its 32nd edition.

Desired qualifications

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, without necessarily being an expert or having years of professional experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to create clear, creative, and engaging content;
• Good understanding of social media and digital communication;
• Creative, organized, proactive, and reliable;
• Able to work independently and collaboratively;
• Interest in arts, urban culture, and events;
• French and English are strong assets.

Above all, we’re looking for talent, creativity, reliability, and someone eager to learn and grow with Under Pressure.

Expected level of involvement

The level of involvement will gradually increase as we approach the Under Pressure Festival in August 2027:

• Initially: approximately 2 hours per month.
• Starting 6 months before the festival: approximately 10 hours per month.
• August 2027: approximately 20 hours during the month.

The schedule is flexible, and much of the work can be done remotely. Increased availability will be appreciated as the festival approaches.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who wants to get involved long-term, develop their skills, and grow with the Under Pressure team.
