Context of the mandate

The Grounds Maintenance and Snow Removal Attendant is responsible for maintaining the organization’s outdoor properties throughout the year. This includes landscaping, lawn mowing, seasonal work, and snow removal to ensure safe access to the buildings.

Tasks

• Clear snow from entrances, sidewalks, and other building access areas.
• Spread salt or de-icing products to ensure safe movement.
• Maintain lawns, gardens, and green spaces, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and related tasks.
• Perform seasonal work, such as spring and fall cleanup of outdoor areas and roofs.
• Inspect the grounds to identify safety risks and report necessary repairs.
• Safely use and maintain landscaping and snow removal equipment.
• Support the building maintenance team when needed.
• Will work alongside another employee who is fulltime.

Desired qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or snow removal is an asset.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to use landscaping and snow removal equipment.
• Good physical condition to lift loads, shovel, and perform manual work.
• Reliability and attention to safety.

Expected level of involvement

Days & Hours: 2 half days per week any days of the week (Monday to Friday), morning (9am-12pm) or afternoon (13:00-16:00)
