Context of the mandate

On Saturday, August 15, at Sir George Étienne Cartier Park, the traditional Saint-Henri Neighborhood Party will take place, featuring a BBQ, as well as various activities, games, music, a community fair, and even an outdoor movie screening! The event is organized by CDC Solidarité St-Henri with the support of the Volunteer Bureau of Montreal.

Tasks

We are looking for volunteers to help with the following tasks:

- Setting up and taking down the event site: arranging tables and chairs, making trips back and forth between the CRCS and the park to retrieve equipment, helping set up the BBQ, and assisting the technical team with stage setup
- Assisting with activities: explaining the various activities (fair games, chess, reading corner, etc.) and providing support to visitors and the organizations offering activities.
- BBQ assistance: Prepare hot dogs and corn on the cob, and provide friendly service

Meals provided for all volunteers!

Operation Backpack (distribution of school supplies) will take place on the same day in the gym next to the park (you can also get involved in this initiative).

If you’re interested in helping out with the Neighborhood Party (and/or Operation Backpack), please fill out our volunteer registration form (one form per person, please). We’ll then contact you to confirm your role and schedule.
