The Yellow Door is a non-profit organization that works to promote a sense of community amongst youth and older adults by combatting urban isolation and sparking positive societal change. Located in the downtown Montreal area, our services aim to foster intergenerational relationships that decrease social isolation and its associated negative health effects. We are currently looking for volunteers for our Rabbit Hole Program, which includes a weekly lunch served from our kitchen every Friday during the academic year (from September to April). As a Co-Coordinator Volunteer, you would be planning, preparing, and cooking a healthy vegan meal. Rabbit Hole is a space to gather the community around food, and promote food security in our neighbourhood! Planning, prep, and grocery shopping can be done at your discretion within the week, and can be divided between co-coordinators and drop-in volunteers. Cooking takes place on Friday morning, for a meal served at noon. Role Requirements:
