The Yellow Door is a non-profit organization that works to promote a sense of community amongst youth and older adults by combatting urban isolation and sparking positive societal change. Located in the downtown Montreal area, our services aim to foster intergenerational relationships that decrease social isolation and its associated negative health effects. We are currently looking for volunteers for our Rabbit Hole Program, a volunteer-run café in the heart of Milton Parc that serves affordable, healthy, vegan meals to the community every Friday during the academic year (from September to April). Rabbit Hole is a space to gather the around food, and promote food security in our neighbourhood. This volunteer role consists of being free to help the coordinators with any aspect of the café on a drop-in basis. Your tasks will involve shopping, helping to prep the food, cooking, serving or cleaning. Planning, prep, and grocery shopping can be done at your discretion within the week, and can be divided between co-coordinators and drop-in volunteers. Cooking takes place on Friday morning, for a meal served at noon. Become a Rabbit Hole volunteer without the commitment. Come lend a hand when your schedule allows it! Position Requirements:
