The Mountain Sights Community Centre is looking for a volunteer who is passionate about knitting and/or crochet to lead our Knitting Club for seniors in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood.

Once a week, the volunteer will welcome a warm and friendly group of knitters — some beginners, others already experienced — to share their knowledge, offer guidance, and create a welcoming space around needles, yarn, and conversation.

Main tasks:

• Facilitate the weekly knitting session (2 hours)
• Teach and share knitting and crochet techniques with participants
• Answer questions and support participants according to their skill level
• Help create a friendly, inclusive, and caring atmosphere

Profile sought:

• Experience in knitting and/or crochet
• Kindness, patience, and good listening skills
• Comfortable working with seniors
• Availability of approximately 2 hours per week

Schedule: Preferably Thursdays, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (schedule can be adjusted based on the volunteer's availability)

Location: Mountain Sights Community Centre, 5111 Rue Paré, Montreal

The volunteer's transportation costs are reimbursed.
