Hello,

We are looking for a volunteer lawyer or legal professional with expertise in music copyright and intellectual property law to support an interdisciplinary performing arts project.

We are currently developing a multidisciplinary musical production that incorporates excerpts from pre-existing jazz, soul, and gospel works. To ensure the project is developed in full compliance with copyright law, we are seeking legal guidance on the use and licensing of these works.

Specifically, we would appreciate support with:

• identifying the rights and permissions required;
• estimating potential licensing and royalty costs;
• understanding best practices for obtaining and managing permissions;
• drafting or reviewing licensing agreements.

Even a one-hour general consultation would make a meaningful difference and help us move this project forward with confidence.
