Auberge Transition is a shelter that supports women and children who have experienced domestic violence. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where women can regain power over their lives.

We are currently looking for volunteers to support our organization in different areas.

Types of volunteer roles available:

1. Activity Support
Help organize, prepare, and facilitate activities for women and/or children, such as creative workshops, relaxation activities, themed activities, outings, awareness activities, and more.

2. Accompaniment Support
Provide occasional support during certain activities or appointments, depending on the needs of the organization. This role may include offering a reassuring presence, active listening, and compassionate support.

3. Kitchen Support
Assist with meal preparation, kitchen organization, storage, light planning, or support during mealtimes.

4. Cleaning and Organization Support
Support the team with light cleaning tasks, organizing common areas, sorting items, arranging materials, or preparing spaces for activities.

5. Administrative Support
Assist with simple office tasks such as filing, phone calls, document preparation, organizing files, supporting donation management, or other occasional administrative needs.

6. Support with Children
Participate in age-appropriate activities for children, provide a positive presence, and help during playtime, crafts, or supervised activities.

7. Activity Planning and Facilitation
We are also looking for volunteers with specific talents or interests who would like to propose and lead activities such as art, music, cooking, yoga, wellness, sports, reading, writing, self-esteem workshops, personal development, and more.

Volunteer Profile:
We are looking for caring, respectful, reliable individuals who are sensitive to the realities of women and children who have experienced domestic violence. Discretion, non-judgment, and empathy are essential.

Experience in social work, activity facilitation, cooking, administration, cleaning, or working with children is an asset, but not required.

Availability:
Schedules are flexible and can be adapted according to your availability and the organization’s needs. We welcome both occasional and regular volunteers.
