La Centrale agricole is seeking an external board director with a background in real estate, finance, or law. La Centrale agricole is a solidarity cooperative bringing together 25 urban agriculture businesses in the District Central neighbourhood of Montréal. Since 2019, it has offered 88,000 sq. ft. of shared infrastructure dedicated to food production, processing, and valorization in an urban setting. It promotes circular economy practices, short supply chains, and synergies among its members. Board directors meet once a month, on the third Monday, for a one-hour meeting. An additional hour of preparation time should be expected beforehand to review meeting documents. Further involvement on committees is possible based on individual interests.
