On Saturday, June 27, the Mercier-Est Public Market will officially kick off its first season with a big, festive opening day! This community-driven and eco-friendly project aims to revitalize the neighborhood, support local producers, and make fresh food more accessible to everyone. To make this big neighborhood celebration a memorable success, we’re looking for a team of energetic and cheerful volunteers. Whether you come alone, with friends, or as a corporate group, your energy will make all the difference! Several time slots are available to help with the following tasks: Morning (logistics & setup): Lend a hand setting up tables, assembling vendor booths, and putting up signage. All day (logistics and maintenance): Educate visitors and vendors on waste sorting (recycling, composting) to keep the market spotless, and guide visitors around the site. Afternoon (Logistics and Teardown): Help dismantle the site, pack up equipment, and restore Parc Saint-Victor to its full beauty. Desired Profile
Energy and a desire to get involved in the East Montreal community.
Ability to work in a team and adapt to the pace of a festive event.
For setup and takedown: good physical condition is a plus (ability to lift 10 kg).
