Do you have a love of books and a passion for children’s education? We need you! We’re looking for volunteers to read stories to children aged 0-8 in parks across NDG this summer. Your voice and presence will help spark their imagination, strengthen their vocabulary, and nurture their love of reading. We all know how beneficial it is to be read to when you’re young, so if you’d like to make a positive impact in the lives of little ones, join our team of super-readers today! ~ Training, books, and support provided ~ Together, let’s sow the seeds of curiosity and learning! If you'd like to do more, or continue after our summer program, we also run year-round sessions in daycares and community centers where we will pair you with a daycare or school near your home or school. For this we have an 8-session minimum (8hrs minimum commitment ~2-4 months)*
Sessions will take place July and August, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30am.
