Our solidarity cooperative needs you! We are looking for four committed and qualified individuals to join our volunteer board of directors. They will be elected at our annual general meeting on May 22, 2026.

Our Mission
La Remise is a non-profit solidarity cooperative founded in 2015 in Montreal whose mission is to share tools and objects, workspaces, and knowledge in order to empower its members while facilitating a transition toward a
more resilient, supportive, and environmentally responsible way of life.

To fulfill its mission, La Remise offers its members:

• 2 tool libraries with over 2,000 utility items available for loan,
• 3 shared workshops: woodworking, bicycle repair, and sewing,
• Hands-on training to rediscover the joy of doing things yourself,
• Over 7,000 members and 100 active volunteers across 10 committees.

Our Board of Directors
Our Board consists of 9 people who actively contribute to the organization’s strategic direction, development, management, and participatory operations.

• Commitment required: A few hours per month and 9 to 12 meetings per year.
• In return: Free access to our libraries and our woodworking, bike, and sewing workshops,

And above all, a rewarding experience in collective management and numerous opportunities to meet dedicated individuals. 

To support our growth, we are primarily looking for people with expertise in:

• Financial management,
• Business development,
• Human resources,
• Communications,
• Marketing.

But we welcome applications from all candidates!
