We are looking for someone who enjoys driving to join the ground crew of La Mission de Paix sur le Fleuve.
La Mission de Paix sur le Fleuve returns for its 16th edition. This year’s event will take place from Tuesday, June 30th, to Saturday, July 11th, 2026. This 12-day journey in rabaskas will take about twenty participants—on the water and on the road—from Montreal to Quebec City. Grandparents, adults, and younger people will share this journey together, following in the footsteps of our ancestors. This journey is a demonstration of solidarity with the Indigenous peoples of this land and a celebration of their love for the territory. It is a commitment to ourselves to take up our paddles to meet the Abenaki, Attikamekw, and Innu peoples, with the aim of opening ourselves to Indigenous cultures and learning about the history and current issues facing the various nations along the river.

• Tasks: Drive the Dodge Caravan from one leg of the journey to the next (e.g., from the tip of the Island of Montreal to Lanoraie)
• Logistics: We will provide maps for each leg. You will be in contact with the truck, which is also part of the journey.
• Equipment: We provide the vehicle and gas.

Required profile:

• Be available from June 30th to July 11th
• Have a driver’s license
• Be sociable and respectful
• Be self-reliant and able to adapt to schedule changes
• Enjoy camping and have your own camping gear
