The Georges-Vanier Cultural Centre (CCGV) is an organization dedicated to promoting artistic practice, cultural accessibility, and the development of a strong local cultural presence.

We are seeking a Board Member with a CPA designation to support our strategic development and ensure sound financial governance.

Profile sought

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with experience in governance within a non-profit or cultural organization.
• Strong interest in civic engagement, the social value of the arts, and local cultural development.
• Ability to collaborate with a dynamic board and a passionate artistic team.
• Capacity to balance financial rigor with a social vision, while supporting innovation and accessibility.

Commitment

• Volunteer mandate of two (2) years, renewable.
• Participation in Board meetings (between 3 and 6 per year), the Annual General Meeting, and any special or committee meetings (preferably in person, occasionally via videoconference).
• Involvement in one or more Board committees (philanthropy, governance, etc.) and active contribution to related initiatives.
• Representation of CCGV at cultural, community, and business events.
• Contribution to CCGV’s fundraising efforts.
• Attendance at selected CCGV events.

Board Composition
As a non-profit organization, CCGV is governed by a Board of Directors elected by its members at the Annual and Special General Meetings (AGM/SGM). A list of current Board members is available.

CCGV provides liability insurance for its Board members.
